DDR spot sector was stable and module pricings went up slightly

As packaging & testing factories had no extra capacity to assemble components to modules, participants were more interested in buying modules than ICs today. As a result, DDR spot sector was stable and module pricings went up slightly. DDR 32Mx8 400MHz rose by 0.5% - 1.1% at USD 3.9 – USD 4.3. The same as DDR 32Mx8 333MHz, the pricing was up 2.7% - 6.25% to USD 3.8 – USD 4.25. DDR 400 512MB/256MB OEM module was quoted at USD 58.5 – USD 58.8 and USD 29.5 – USD 30 respectively.

The demand of NAND Flash emerged continuously since yesterday, especially NAND 2G and 4G. Owing to the urgent demand in factories this afternoon, Flash market was hot with ardent quotations and ended at an upward trend in pricing. NAND 1G/2G/4G were deal at USD 8.2/17.6/33.3. NAND 8G jumped nearly 1.5% to USD 63 – USD 63.4.

Quotes of components moved nearly 0.4% - 0.8% higher at DDR spot sector today

Because of the appearance of few rush orders for X'mas seasonal demand continued since last week, generally speaking, quotes of components moved nearly 0.4% - 0.8% higher at DDR spot sector today. DDR 32Mx8 White Brand pricing showed a 0.75% rise at USD 3.47 – USD 3.51. DDR 32Mx8 400MHz and 333MHz also climbed to USD 4.05 – USD 3.95 and USD 4 – USD 3.85.

In Flash market, demand for 1G and 2G increased continuously with insufficient supplement, resulted in an uptick in prices slightly. However, compared to offers last week, it was still at the downward trend. NAND 1G and 2G pricing were at USD 8.2 – USD 8.3 and USD 16 – USD 17.6 respectively. NAND 4G and 8G prices kept flattish at USD 33.1 – USD 33.2 and USD 62 – USD 62.5.
