Sustaining the upward trend since last Friday, quotes in today's spot sector remained high. However, only limited deal was reported, owing to different expectations from buyers who requested lower pricings and sellers offered higher quotes. Meanwhile, because of the quality issue, generally speaking, buyers were more willing to buy OEM modules rather than components, which resulted in princes of OEM module (converted to components equivalent prices) were less than that of components. DDR 32Mx8 White Brand was steady at US$3.3 – US$3.47. Offers of DDR 32Mx8 400MHz and 333MHz rose 10-15 cents/chip at US$4.1 – US$3.67 and US$4.0 – US$3.75 respectively.

 

According to the weak demand, the Flash market slipped slightly. With rich supplement, NAND 1G pricing for Hynix was down 2.3% to US$8.2, compared to US$8.4 last Friday. NAND 2G and 4G adopted to the same circumstances and under the downward pressure. Prices of 2G/4G were at US$17.0 – US$17.8 and US$34.5 – US$33.9 correspondingly.   Conversely, NAND 8G pricing kept steady at US$ 60.9 – US$61.3.
